| Dear
Customer,
If
the itchy nose and watery eyes don't tell you, the bluer skies and
warmer weather probably do -- spring is here! Sure, the blooming
flowers are pretty and the green trees are much nicer to look at,
but for many people this change of season also brings serious allergy
problems. In fact, allergies are the sixth leading cause
of chronic disease in America and make life difficult for more than
50 million children and adults every year. For more information on
allergies, visit www.aafa.org.
While there are a growing number of over-the-counter and prescription
allergy medications, Xlear offers a natural solution that is helping
thousands of people every year to make it through allergy season.
Xlear Nasal Wash helps to flush out the allergens before they trigger
the allergy symptoms: runny nose, watery eyes, etc. And if you do
take allergy medications, you can still use Xlear to help moisturize
and hydrate the nasal passage.
We invite you to breathe Xlear-ly this spring with Xlear
Nasal Wash.

Customer Feedback
We received this question from Pat M. about xylitol in jam.
Question: "Could you please tell me if one can use xylitol
in making jam. We make jam occasionally and one must use a lot
of sugar to make it. Unfortunately the sugar is used as a preservative
as much as for taste. I don't think that xylitol has that feature.
Maybe one could use part sugar and part xylitol. Let me know would
you if anyone has tried this and how it keeps."
Answer: You can use xylitol in jams. In fact, we offer a couple
of varieties of jams that are sweetened exclusively with xylitol.
According to the product manufacturers, the jams last two years
if they remain sealed. If they are opened, the jams do require
refrigeration and will last between six and eight months.

Cooking with XyloSweet
Thanks to Gail L. from St. Clair Shores, Michigan for her XyloSweet in the kitchen suggestions.
"As a diabetic I am always searching for my sweet treats. I have
found that XyloSweet is my favorite.
I recently used it in my Chinese Coleslaw recipe instead of sugar.
I also took plain low-fat yogurt (which is very much like wallpaper paste)
and added a few berries and Xylo-Sweet. It was as good as "Fruit on the Bottom."
I love to cook and no one in the house knows I have changed from sugar to XyloSweet.
Whenever I tried to pass off one of the other artificial sweeteners they always
caught me."
If you have a Cooking with Xylitol tip, email it to us at crystalxlear@xlear.com.
We'll likely include it in an upcoming issue.
